Important drivers for the development of transport information systems are major international events that take part in Russian cities. Such upcoming events are the 2017 Confederations Cup, the 2018 World Cup, and the winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk in 2019.
A modern transport information system includes a range of solutions that improve the efficiency and usability of public transport. Such solutions are the use of electronic tickets, collecting and providing open access to information on the movement of vehicles and time of their arrival at the stops.
